Leadership Magnolia-Columbia County

Step Up. Get Involved. Make a Difference.

Leadership Magnolia-Columbia County is a hands-on program for people who care about our community and want to play a bigger role in shaping its future. Whether you’re just starting your leadership journey or already involved in local efforts, this program gives you the opportunity to grow your skills, connect with others, and learn more about the place we all call home.

Established in 1995, the program has a long-standing tradition of developing leaders who are committed to making a meaningful impact in Columbia County.

The 10-month program includes a two-day retreat in September and full-day sessions once a month from October to May. Each session focuses on key areas like education, healthcare, local government, industry, and more, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how our community functions and where there’s room to grow. You'll engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, share ideas, and collaborate on a class project designed to benefit the community.

This program does require a real commitment—one day a month and an overnight retreat—but it’s time well spent. Tuition is $500 and due by August 18, 2025. A reduced rate of $400 is available to participants representing nonprofit organizations. Limited scholarships are also available.

If you’re ready to get more involved and help move our community forward, Leadership Magnolia-Columbia County is a great place to start.
